Testing my friend’s (and colleague) legendary Leica M3 - “The Leica M3 is a 35 mm rangefinder camera by Ernst Leitz GmbH (now Leica Camera AG), introduced in 1954. The M3 introduced several features to the Leica, among them the combination of viewfinder and rangefinder in one bright window, like on the Contax II, and a bayonet lens mount. It was the most successful model of the M series, with over 220,000 units sold by the time production of the M3 model ended in 1966.”

Wonderful album!! Cheap lens for Leica... How about a Jupiter 8 M39 screw mount lens with M bayonet adapter? Check on ebay... or look here for the lens... fedka.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id… Enjoy!!

I have a Zorki 4. It's a good camera with a very big bright rangefinder/viewfinder, but an old school shutter like a Leica III, sort of. Never change shutter speed unless shutter is cocked!! A FED 2 has a wider rangefinder and a more idiot proof shutter, but no slow speeds, just 1/30 to 1/500 and B. FED 2's and Zorki 6's might be considered the most reliable (read idiot resistant) of Soviet cameras, and FED 2's come in colors. I have a blue one and a green one.
