1. Describe your film photography style in three words.
Nostalgic, California, Surf

2. What’s one quality you wish you had?
Better flexibility… I’m stiffening up the older I get…

3. Who or what was the first thing you fell in love with?
The California Burrito in San Diego. A mythical rice-less, bean-less, carne asada creation with french fries, guacamole, salsa fresca, sour cream, and cheese.

4. If you were a castaway in an island and had to pick between your camera and a surfboard, which would be your “luxury” item?
Surfboard, all the way.

5. What would you rid this world of in a heartbeat?
Traffic

6. What decade in history would you like to step into and why?
The 1960s. I would love to be an early pioneer of California Surf culture and experience the counter culture movement.

7. Where’s your secret garden, where you can escape to?
Big Sur, California. It’s always been an oasis for those that are lost for many years.

8. Who’s your hero, in fiction or in real life?
My Parents. They are just awesome people. So consistently awesome for so long.

9. What famous person (dead or alive) would like to have a drink with?
JFK.

10. If you could no longer see, what’s one image you’d like burned in your mind?
My wife Joanie smiling at me.
