  Vientiane is located at the central region of Laos is the capital of the country. Less touristy than other capitals in South East Asia, you are more likely to bump into backpackers rather than the conventional tour groups with flag carrying guide. Visiting Vientiane is a refreshing change due to her serene pace of life.

  Vientiane (pronounced as "Wieng Chan" by the locals) is the capital city of Laos. I went there on a family vacation last August and boy, did I have a good time. Situated in the Mekong Valley, it is a laid-back city void of traffic jam, noise pollution and other qualities of a bustling metropolis; a perfect getaway from the clutter of urban life.

  Wer braucht schon Elektrizität? Ein Besuch in Laos sollte unbedingt die '4000 Inseln' beinhalten. Ein Ort ohne Elektrizität, aber das macht das Ganze erst so richtig spannend!

  Vientiane (ausgesprochen "Wieng Chan") ist die Hauptstadt von Laos. Letztes Jahr im August haben wir dort einen Familienurlaub gemacht und hatten eine gute Zeit. Im Mekongtal gelegen, ist es eine entspannte Stadt ohne Verkehrsstaus, Großstadtlärm und anderen Nachteilen hektischer Metropolen; ein perfekter Fluchtort vor dem Wirrwarr städtischen Lebens.

  Luang Prabang is an idyllic town just north of Vientiane and has been accorded as an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. The fastest way to get to Luang Prabang is to catch a flight from Vientiane domestic airport. Flight time is just under an hour. Another alternative is to travel by coach and it takes about 10-11 hours to get to Luang Prabang from Vientiane.

  Luang Prabang ist ein idyllischer Ort nördlich von Vientiane und wurde 1995 zum UNESCO Weltkulturerbe erklärt. Die schnellste Möglichkeit Luang Prabang zu erreichen, ist mit dem Flugzeug aus Vientiane. Die Flugzeit beträgt etwas weniger als eine Stunde. Die andere Option wäre der Bus, dieser braucht aber für dieselbe Strecke 10-11 Stunden.
