A./Then everybody'd be surfin'/Like Californi-a" Well, when the Beach Boys sang this "Surfin' USA" 1963, they surely didn't think that it would be possible to surf in Munich, hundreds and hundreds km far away from the sea (and more from California of course...)

    Once a year this amazing flea market takes place on the huge Theresienwiese in Munich! As you can guess it is giant, and when I say giant, I literally mean GIANT! So for all you flea market lovers out there, if you're ever in Munich, make sure not to miss out on it! This year it was on the 30th of April, but it changes every year!

    The good old Olympic-Stadium in Munich, was edified in 1972 for the Olympic-summer-Games. After the games to 2006 it was the soccer stadium from the soccer clubs 1.FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munich. Nowadays the stadium is only open for big events and open-air-concerts. It holds 69.250 people.

    My Hometown. Here I grew up, ate sand, hurt my knees and so on. It's place nearby Munich, but far enough away to be on the countryside. I'm always coming back to my hometown for visiting my parents. I love it to go for a walk on the fields and watch the clouds and the trees. It's perfect for a sunny but also for a "snowy" day.

    For years I’ve been planning on visiting my friend in Konstanz for a sailing trip on Lake Constance (Bodensee). In August 2008 we both finally found the time to realize those plans. I took the train from Frankfurt to Konstanz, arriving on late Friday afternoon. But before we entered the boat on Saturday my friend showed me what Konstanz had to offer culturally.
