Welta Weltix is a 35mm folding camera made in Germany from 1938 to 1950. First models used 127 film but when appeared 135 films, the camera body was adapted and now, thank’s to this, the luchy ones who have a working camera like me can use piece of History

welta Weltix

History:
Happened 1 year ago when i asked to my grandmother Fernanda if she had an old camera at home, maybe in a closet, but i never thought that she had a working Weltix in perfect conditions. She told me that from 1949 to 1954 she was director of an Hotel in the mountain resort of San Martino di Castrozza (TN) in north of Italy and during 1950 a client lost his camera in the hall of the hotel but nobody came back to ask it, so that lost camera bacame our family’s one.
Camera is in perfect condition, folder is original, objective is clear and Compur 1:2,9 = 5 cm lenses used are front element focusing.

The camera has only an adjustable viewfinder to take pictures up close or landscapes and to change mode in necessary to push on the viewfinder.
Because of the totally manual settings of the Weltix it is easy to miss the charge of the film but on the other hand it is easy to take a picture and rewind the film by one turn and a half to have a multiple exposure.

Weltix is a peace of history of cameras and with a little experience you can enjoy a lot with this compact of the last century that is working at least 60 years or more.
I love my weltix, first of all because every time is a surprise till the development of the film and because I did a lot of pictures of my Love…..
