Photoworks processes 35mm, 120, & 220 color, black & white, cross process, & E6 films. We offer archival prints from 35mm and 120 negatives, as well as prints from slides. We are one of the few labs left that still prints black and white film on traditional black and white paper with black and white chemicals.

At the same location and under the same ownership since 1987 Photoworks SF has met the needs of the San Francisco Bay Area photo community and beyond. We began modestly as a simple neighborhood one hour photo lab. In time our business attracted more high end amateurs and professionals. Soon enough we dropped the “one hour” concept and evolved into a hybrid photo lab. It seemed there was a need for something in between high end expensive and drug store mediocrity. A photo lab where photographers of all levels get their unique needs met.

Over the last 20+ years Photoworks has survived many changes in a tumultuous photo industry. We have embraced digital technology while maintaining our film roots. We are on site owners who value our retail store as much or more than our substantial internet presence. Stop by and introduce yourself.
