    your tip also doesnt really tell me how to measure the distance between my lens and my subject, maybe i should read my plastic lens book, i think i have that one, i think... maybe it came with the jack holga

    @kylethefrench: You replace the film by cigarette paper, the image will appear on the paper (your camera back is opened at this point) and you'll find the correct distance when the image will be sharp.
