@sinkinanchorssince1984 Sorry to be the cause of that he he. Sadly the owners has decided to paint it in white. "95 of a 100 " houses in Norway is painted white... I find it a bit boring that so many do the same thing and don't dare to be a little bit original.

Could make for good night time contrast for long exposures in black and white?? Might be worth a try. I would like to get to Norway this coming year. We were going to try last year but we postponed too long. We went to Acadia National Park in Maine in the states instead. So hopefully this year we can make it to Norway. $250 round trip would be well worth it.

@sinkinanchorssince1984 A soft expression you mean. Maybe.

If the houses are lit at night you would get some nice white houses with black night sky, the contrast in black and white would look cool I think.

@sinkinanchorssince1984 I misunderstood. Thought you where thinking of another reflection. Could be an idea for next year maybe. I'm not ready for it just yet. I don't remember. It could very well be lit up at night. It's an area with benches, tables and chairs after all.

@sierravictor I wasn't talking about this photo in specific for the idea, just playing off you saying all the houses are white and boring. I thought it would make for a good shot of the houses at night with the black sky as a photo in its self.

@sinkinanchorssince1984 That could be a good idea. I wonder if a red filter together with B/W-film would work. It gives a dark sky at daytime. Maybe together with a bit of moonlight on a few cloudes would work? Could give a bit long exposures, but I do have a tripod and a cablerelease. If I remember it later next year it could happen. We'll see.

Fantastic. I think either idea would work well. Good luck!!
