   I once owned a bookstore not far from there, Strathcona Books 8217 104 St, just off White Ave. The store is also gone now, the whole block burned down a few years after I sold it.

   Lived in an apartment on 83 Ave. between 1975-79, after which I moved away. Loved the neighborhood back in the day. Can't say I recall the book store but certainly remember enjoying the tavern at the Strathcona Hotel. Still have friends back there. Richard Siemens, photographer. Wei Yew, designer.
