    Dear GUYPINHAS.
Thank you for your attention, opinion and emotions.
Thank you for noticing the color palette of this photo. I do not intend to make a secret or claim that this photo is an absolutely clean version of the scan without any correction. I don't have such photos. But despite this circumstance, I try to keep the characteristic features of each film that my scanner highlights. So that's what I wanted to draw your attention to, after your very careful look. This unique color palette is formed by the extraordinary emulsion of FUJICOLOR PRESS 800 film. I think an important parameter of this film is the date recommended by the manufacturer for its use - 2004. All these circumstances have formed in this film, in my opinion, a very interesting emulsion with a unique palette and texture (grain). These features compensate for its shortcomings. This photo is one of many that I was able to take with this film. Note that this photo was taken with a flash. At the same time, the shutter speed is sufficient to stop the movement of hands and face. But this is already the merit of the Minolta company, of my babys Minolta dynax 5.

@awa-awa A while back I saw the Magnum contact sheets exhibit and if you compared those to the actual iconic images most if not all of them were cropped or edited in some way, there was no perfect negative, you know what I mean?

I think it was Bill Brandt that said that for him, the real fun/art started in the dark room. Would love to see his negatives :)

Think of it as cooking if you will. To make a good tomato sauce you need to start with good ingredients (that’s your image) then you add the spices (that’s editing) and there you have it for all to enjoy :)

If an image is good, that's all that counts, what you do afterwards, post processing (dark room or digital editing) will not change the content, editing is where the magic happens especially when you're dealing with street or available light situations such as your image. All I'm saying is that a good image is a good image and your editing skills on this image worked like a charm. It really captured a moment, a vibe and a very special woman! Mazel tof!

    Dear GUYPINHAS.
    Frankly. Thanks for the support!
Your every phrase is a pleasure for me.
I confess I have long distanced myself from disputes on this topic. Because I think that in our World there would be much more joy and happiness if we, people, performing even an insignificant action, thought about well-being, joy, or at least the opinion of a close friend or a distant person, and maybe about well-being the whole Earth. I think that Photography, our attitude towards it, is just a small fragment of this endless chain of our actions, which also requires such control.
But how can humanity afford so much pleasure?! Perhaps photography could be just such a pleasant exception, and was made solely for the pleasure of everyone. And for those who photograph and for those who are photographed and for those who watch it. But other photos we would really try to make smaller.
Therefore, looking at the creative photographs of your meaningful LOMO albums, reading your letter, I feel an emotional lift. I feel positive. (Just in case, I’ll say - I’m not talking about childish joy.)
Thank you for that. Thank you for the opportunity to speak.

    Dear TOMOP.
Thank you for your attention, opinion and emotions.
I will take the opportunity to add "colors" to your observations that are not visible in this photograph. This unique woman applauds the birthday girl after she read her poems, which she composed especially for her student in the distant past, and today for her friend, for Lenochka. Lenochka is 15 years younger than her.
