condiviso da falsedigital il 2010-06-13I dug out some film that is 15 years expired. It was a weird thing considering the roll only has 12 exposures on it. It's a kodak 400 iso black and white that's C-41 processable. We decided to take some morbid shots for the new crying rumble. Do you think she's convincing? :P

condiviso da clickiemcpete il 2012-11-24The Certo Dollina was made in the late 1930's in Germany. It is a tiny folding camera about the size of the LCA and takes regular 35mm film. Amazingly, it has strap lugs so you can put a neck or wrist strap on it. The lens is a 50mm f2.9 so quite fast for this vintage. The viewfinder is built in and although tiny it is very bright. One of the coolest features is that you can wind it and it will stop on each frame automatically...the shutter is a Compur so you have to cock it each time before you snap the picture but this allows for doubles which is nice! Definitely one of the best 1930's folding cameras I've ever seen.

Exposing Both Sides of the Film
condiviso da hodachrome il 2012-06-20First trial of EBS. Shot on correct side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. It's tough challenge because I had to wait for the best weather for each shots, and had to be careful with 'gaps' between frames. This is not bad result but I found some mistakes. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

condiviso da hodachrome il 2012-06-12Test roll of homemade redscale800 for 120. Originally Kodak Portra800. Little bit under-exposed than I expected. Not so different from Lomography Redscale 50-200. Color saturation and contrast are rich enough. Will test again.
