More Tri-X

just some street level shots using my Yashica - was comparing it to the Leica M8 and there really isn't much in in regarding sharpness with voigtlander nokton 50mm and the lens on the yeshica they practically offer the same bang for the buck. Although operationally the Leica handles zoo much better

Outstanding album!! I have a Yashica Electro 35 GSN, and, compared with my Kiev 2a with Jupiter 3 lens, the Kiev rangefinder is a lot better, especially in darkness, and and the Jupiter 3 lens sharper, especially wide open. The Yashica is easier on repeated shots, crank versus knob...

@herbert-4 Thanks for the kind words, that's an interesting comparison definitely identifies that they all have their strengths and weaknesses. I've never used a Kiev Rangefinder but in relation to the Yashica the ones I have are Ricoh 500GX - In comparison the rangefinder parallax is a quirky yet dull diamond shape rather than the traditional square (it works well in some occasions) ergonomically its sound nice layout pocketable and has a nifty multiple exposure mode and the metering is good. Unfortunately had to ditch mine as it leaked even though it had fresh seals and it was sat on the shelf the majority of the time doing nothing. Zorki 4K with 50mm f/2 Jupiter - loved the layout felt fantastic the rangefinder was usable not bright by any means and the lens (not sure if it was just mine or throughout) but the aperture ring was so lose and could easily be knocked, and no meter. Fuji GW690II - Incredible camera just lacks a meter and its on the large side, and shoots 120 (which i like but financially its not as economic as 35mm rangefinders). Finally my Leica M8 - apart from being Digital its as close to an analogue camera you'll ever come across in the digital world. Everything about it is incredible, was such a good investment!

BTW... for a good compromise in rangefinder, find a Fuji GS645S Pro... www.lomography.it/homes/herbert-4/albums/103229-old_cameras… 120, 6X4.5 cm, match LED light meter, fairly compact, light, excellent lens, automat-ish film counter, slightly odd "T" setting for long exposure, however.
