I have recently taken out a subscription to the streaming service - Mubi. Over the coming weeks I’ll be posting a compendium of images from some of the films I have watched.
These pictures are appropriated, not plagiarised! Photographing from the television using Washi film gives a distressed look in the style of Jean-Luc Goddard’s essay - The Image Book.
My second pick is from Jules Dassin’s 1947 prison drama, Brute Force. The technique probably works best when the original film is in black and white!
