Hi, I really like your photos! I'm about to start in the world of analog photography, I have a minolta a5 camera and a kodak plus200 color film. I wanted to know what kind of technical advice I could give to start taking pictures, especially at night, or when night comes, as which diaphragm and speed should I use? Thanks!
@felicitas10 Hey hun! Welcome to the world of analogue. I'd recommend shooting as auto as you can to start off with, as you get a feel for the relationship between aperture, iso/asa (film speed), and shutter speed.
I personally wouldn't use 200 film at night, it's likely to come out underexposed. The best film to use at night/dusk would be over 400, i personally love using fuji superia 1600. As general rule in dark conditions, aim for an apeture of around 2.8-5.6 and a shutter speed of 1/60-1/125. You'll need a tripod if you want to shoot any slower.
Use your 200 film in the day :) The sunny16 rule is a great base.
Feel free to hmu if you ever need any advice, i'd hardly call myself an expert though
