We went down the rails in Kampala. Along the way came some great people with incredible fashion. I stopped them and asked them for a portrait. Later, I discovered, that alongside to the rails was some sort of open butchery. Cattle and goats were killed here and right away smoked and prepared for further use. The remaining bones and hornes were piled up, which attracted giant ugly Marabous, who tried to steal some of the meat and flew over the area with their wid wings. I chatted with Moses, who is a goat-keeper and keeps his animals close to the butchery. I guess it's full circle...
Images taken at Schloß Nordkirchen the secret paradise for Pokémon hunters and the education center for all budding tax inspectors of the state Nordrhein Westfalen. Come and see this place -perhaps not in pouring rain as we did - and you will be rewarded with plenty of Magikarps (Kapadors) and Psyducks (Entons). *gg*
Marta and Adele (aka Fusillini sisters) have been friends of mine for quite a long time and we spent some pretty crazy times together. I love taking pictures of them because even if their approach to the camera is totally different (Adele is really confident, Marta is rather shy and insecure) they are both really good at following instructions and I'm always satisfied with the outcome. Berlin, as usual, offered some perfect backgrounds to our photoshooting: the charming charlottenburg castle garden, the spooky and huge abandoned chemical factory in Rudersdorf and the never disappointing Mauerpark.

We've had so much snow this year. It's been beautiful but unfortunately hard to photograph because the temperatures have been sub zero, which makes my little cameras cranky. One day it warmed up to the 20's (fahrenheit) and while the snow was falling I donned my winter coat, grabbed my new Diana (courtesy of the very generous @clickiemcpete) and headed out to Lincoln Park to take some snow shots. Some of the photos have a smeared texture to them but that's just the snow falling on the lens creating snow filter of sorts. I kinda like the effect!

It was one of my more fortunate moments, when I acquired maybe one of the largest bulks available worldwide. Other then that I don't have to introduce the abandonded car cemetery of Båstnäs no more. I am pondering about the Herr Willie article about it at the moment. So there will be the conclusion and the condensed summary of it...
