Filipinos have many superstitious beliefs specially in ushering the new year like jumping and cheering when the clock ticks 12:00 which are said to drive away evil spirits and welcome good spirits. Another is wearing polka dot clothes believed to bring good luck for the entire 365 days of the year. As I don't have a polka dot shirt in possession, let this album filled with circles be my lucky charm for this promising year.

Well, I love Warhol's aethetics and the philosophy of his art. His brand of popular art elevates the ordinary into artistic pieces - like the Campbell's soup cans and Brillo boxes. His portraits of celebrities, cultural icons and other influential people of his time are a fresh depature from the commonplace or canonical portraits of art schools. As a tribute to his beautiful mind, I turned his portraits into triples with experimental circles of random images and self-portraits in my small room one morning.

Hope these circles of luck manifest in good health, happiness, prosperity, peace, harmony and love not only for me but for the rest of the world (including my lomo community). Best wishes to everyone! Do wear your polka dots if you have one. In case not, join me wherever you are in jumping and cheering at 12 midnight. Happy new year!
