These negatives were pretty badly scratched, and I scanned them using a basic flatbed scanner, which added even more dust and scratches.

Holga 120 N camera with Ilford Delta 3200 pushed one stop when developing. I had a Pocket Wizard on the hot shoe of the Holga control one Alien Bee B800 with a medium sized Octobox (basically one studio light). It really was a blast controlling a studio light with a Holga!

When I was in high school, I found this poem by Christina Rossetti called "Remember". It's about losing a loved one. It spoke to me so much that it became one of my three favorite poems (the other two are by Shakespeare and Neruda). When I started doing Lomography a few years back, I wanted to do a series inspired by this poem. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to. Then less than two years ago, I got my heart broken so badly and this poem helped me through that rough time. The wound has long healed and I finally have the courage talk about moving on through my photos. So I packed my Belair and my amazing tripod and set off to Malibu - to shoot a series inspired by both the poem and my heartbreak. Of course, the results aren't as good as they would have been had I used my Mamiya but I'm still happy, if only because I finally got to do this series and because it's a labor of love. My boyfriend and I got up at 5 am to drive all the way to Malibu for this series. My hands and feet were freezing the entire shoot AND we got a parking ticket for it so I really really hope people will enjoy the photos, even if they're not amazing quality.

I am not at all impressed with this film. It's very grainy and it does not have a lot of contrast. Worse, my cousin looks like a purple smurfette in it. // I realized when people started asking that I should probably post the ISO I used... I used 100 ISO but these are shot at the beach so they're probably a tad overexposed like all beach shots are. xo

I went to an amazing party in Seattle at a Trapeze Arts school. There were ten bands, light painters, visual projection artists, huge dance floor with trapeze artists performing overhead, an amazing fashion show, and me sitting at a table over in the corner getting people to stop by and draw in my journals as well as one of the www.1000journals.com journals and showing people a bunch of lomo cameras I had brought with me. It was the most amazing party I have ever been to. I left there for home at 6am the next morning.
