Funny results for the moment. I should probably keep seeking the best developer.

I had this roll developed and scanned and then I forgot it in my other camera bag. It waited patiently for about four months there.

    condiviso da adash il 2012-05-29

Soaked some film in diluted paper (RA-4) colour developer. Well, it seems that I just did not soak it long enough there.... I wasn't even sure that the minilab scanner would be able to read the frame boundaries, the film was so thin...

Film was very old and fogged, had to process it at room temp in order to get some usable images.

And the family too of course . . . 1st roll with my shiny new Nikon FG. This is the first film camera I've used that lets me take advantage of some of my Nikon glass . . . the 50mm f/1.4 used here is one of my very favorite lenses. I think I shot this whole roll at 1.4 just cause.

A few weeks ago I posted shots of Baywalk and its habitues before two consecutive supertyphoons hit the Philippines. Recently I had the chance to revisit the place. The coconut trees are still standing there - all accounted for. The statues are relatively unscathed. But definitely the unwelcome visitors had wrecked havoc as evident in the destroyed rampart, missing lightpoles and many vanished tiles. With harsh waves taller than the cocounut trees at the height of the ravage, I was expecting to see much worse. Portions of the once cheerful walkway on bright sunshiny days has turned now into piles of sandbags as temporary barrier as reconstruction is in-progress. New tiles have arrived and piled one on top of the other - waiting for their turn to find their niche in the whole rebuilding scheme. While the number is less than usual, habitues are slowly coming back. Bikers, joggers, fishing hobbyists and ambulant vendors are gaining presence - including some homeless people. These are definite signs of life in the baywalk that survived the torture of tropical cyclones. Looking forward to seeing it anew!

So my family took a week off and we visited Russia! 3 things: 1. It is so cold, they say it's 7 degrees but it feels like negative 3. 2. They have such pretty museums, churches or cathedrals, paintings, and basically everything! 3. I love St. Basil's Cathedral! *Lovelovelovelove*
