I've loved photography for as long as I can remember. I was definitely that dorky kid in huge glasses hiding behind a camera capturing everything and calling it art. On my eighth birthday, I got my first Kodak 110 Crayola camera and was hooked. As I've gotten olden, I've learned to appreciate the beauty of video and the ease of digital but I'll never forget the magic of film. Call me a romantic but there is something intangible lost with the instant gratification of DSLRs. To me, film is more sharply vivid, more reliable, more artistically stimulating and more true to the purest form of photography. Today, I make a living as a communications specialist at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., but I make my own path exploring creativity through photography, social media, video and this crazy, beautiful life.
