I developed and scanned this film at a new lab and I'm absolutely in love with it. It's been a long time since I enjoyed the result THAT much. Look at those colours *___*
I bought a roll of Metropolis which turned out to be a Purple but it's still written Metropolis on the negative. Weird. I contacted Lomography and they promised to send me a new roll. Noice.
This one time we drove out to the very east on Northkorea to see the International Childrens Camp of Songdowon. Which was a little obscure, because the only kids we saw was a school class how was taken there to admire the camp, the same as we. The rooms and facilities had great western standars, but I thought 'where are the kids?`. Some other details were quite interesting as well. On maps and the globe Korea shows its complete borders, no seperation of North and South, which is the believe of the people in the North. An a interesting bronze statue that I wasn't allowed to photograph from up close that displayed Kim il Sung and Kim jong Il with happy kids from all over the world. Was quite amusing...

I went with some friends to Seoul during the Winter, which was an interesting experience, since I was living in a tropical country where it's almost always summer all year round, and this was my first time experiencing winter.
As a traveler, I'm really drawn more to unusual places rather than tourist spots, not saying I don't visit them at all, but I like to leave space in my itinerary for something out of the ordinary. I also have a penchant for reading creepy stories, and so what I was most excited about was not visiting Seoul's best-known tourist destinations or even its glorious street food, but something off the beaten path -- an abandoned theme park. Ever since I saw some photos a Lomographer took using the Lomochrome Purple in a theme park, it has been my goal to try it. Lomochrome Purple is perfect in giving a sort of a post Apocalyptic feel. I don't know if I was able to achieve it, but I love the results anyway!
At first, I didn't find the vibe of the theme park creepy at all, maybe this was because I was with some friends and there were already people there. The vibe changed a bit after sunset, and the upper floor was definitely creepy, because there were no people when I went up, and it was just a dump of unused things. This was definitely the mood I wanted.
What seemed even more creepy, was when I took one image, I knew I still had more shots, but my roll suddenly rewinded. I was really worried about my roll is blank but it's a good thing these photos came out! If you want to visit Yongma Land, I recommend including the second floor as there are a lot of gems in there that are really interesting to photograph.
Again it took some time to work on these theatre shots from Pyongyang. I mixed them up with some uber dark Wrestling shots from wacken - which I found fitting somehow. In pyongyang I was impressed by the performances and songs that all revolved around the country and the leaders themselves. Content wise everything is displayed on the DPRK and vice versa. An eternal circle...It's the rare occasion I used an 800 iso film....
Again it took some time to work on these theatre shots from Pyongyang. I mixed them up with some uber dark Wrestling shots from wacken - which I found fitting somehow. In pyongyang I was impressed by the performances and songs that all revolved around the country and the leaders themselves. Content wise everything is displayed on the DPRK and vice versa. I found a bunch of unprocessed Panatomic-X from the 30s-80s in an antique store trash heap. I asked how much for the film. the cashier just said "take it, nobody develops film anymore." I laughed, took it home and mixed up a can of #Acufine. All hand processed, in the bathroom in the basement that my cat uses. Couldn't be more #diy. I feel like there's a story meant to be told here, and I feel the need to tell it to the best of my ability.
