Tried my hand at bleaching some of my FP-100C negatives on glass... unfortunately the bleach leached under many of them, destroying the emulsion. Bleach leach.
This pack was a bit frustrating as it’s probably the most expensive film per shot I’ve ever used and I’d traveled hundreds of miles to use it. I kept getting this weird interference in my photos, thought it was some some chemistry issue. I eventually figured out that unless you pull the paper tape pulleys out completely, they press the emulsion as its rolling out and cause developer errors in the final development. Good learning experience although it’s on essentially priceless dead stock.
so, after years of shooting film and experimenting, i finally did it: my first filmswap (with myself). first session with the lomo fisheye - second session with the lomo lc-a.
Photos taken on expired black-and-white film found in an old abandoned house that belonged to one of the residents of the house. This house was allegedly abandoned in 2014, but calendars from 2002 have been found inside it. The man who lived in this house was very fond of photography, although he was an amateur, though he is no longer alive. When I was shooting with this film, I tried to see the world through the eyes of the dead photographer who owned the film. So, this photos were taken all before covid, before quarantine. I was on vacation, i just developed this roll, and is like watching a past, a really fun past.
a precious Agfa CT Precisa 100 filled with christmas lights waited for 2,5 years in the freezer before it got it's second and third exposure recently :) My Yashica FR-1 set on 200 ASA did that job with the help of various colour- & some effect-filters. I am just happy now and thankful for a great overlapping & generous coincidence :)
