I was in Italy, my homeland, when my approach to photography began with a Canon DIGITAL ixus 60 in 2006. Both me and her didn't know that almost a year later we would have taken a flight to Canada for a one-year adventure.
We saw and framed both coasts of the States and went from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
Together we met a wonderful culture and lived unforgettable moments.
The more we saw, the more we wanted to see.
Sadly, in September 2008, while I was enjoying life with one of my Best friends I woke her up and... carelessly, I dropped her: it hadn't been a long fall, but it was enough to brake her eye.
She never recovered.
Nine months passed, and eventually I managed to get over it.
In spring 2009 I welcomed in my life a refurbished OLYMPUS s1050SW. I didn't want to hurt anybody again therefore I looked for someone tough: waterproof and shockproof. But unfortunately his sight is not as good as my first lover. We enjoyed extreme moments together though and he's always ready for new thrills.
For ages I postponed the idea of buying a Reflex. And as I met Diana, in Paris during springtime of this year, that idea dissolved somewhere between a shutter release and another.
It was love at first sight.
She's graceful, delicate, light, and endlessly skillful.
With her it's by no means easy. We're still getting to know each other and sometimes we fight. When she's mad at me she shows me a blurred, too dark or too bright world. So, I undersand that i could do better. More than once we treated each other. I gave her a Wide Lens and she's always using it. She just can't take it off. An when we have that strong feeling of sharing memories with our friends, she becomes so selfless and excited that she instantly shows to the world what she sees.
We like to frame time.
We love to share it.
