Holga Digital vs Holga 120N

My Holga Digital arrived and it is very small. Not at all what I expected. I will post some photos of it, and then with it. Please forgive me for using digital, LomoGods. These shots will all be #digital. I feel like I've sinned. It has 2 frame sizes, "135" 4:3 and "120" 1:1, and 2 apertures, Sunny (f/8) and Cloudy/Flash (f/2.8), uses 2 AA batteries, has a fixed focus, a BW and Color mode switch, uses an SD card, and... well, I guess i should give it a whirl.

Круто! Standard for Holga lens filters to fit it?

@alexkon It comes with an optional adapter for that. Its what looks like a standard Holga focus ring and it slips over the smaller one on it. This then holds any standard attachments for the lens including filters and lenses.

@alienmeatsack I expect a digital report from you about LOMO-digital camera. These little electronic megapixels already put the poison in your blood. )))

@alexkon I did some preliminary testing with it and it seemed to fair well as a camera. It is a bit frustrating to use, it's difficult to frame a shot, very easy to move while its capturing a shot since there is a delay, and the filter ring attachment doesn't quite fit every filter and lens well. But it's fun to shoot as long as you don't need to get very close and the results look like what one would expect from a Holga Digital (even if it's not officially a Holga).

I kind of expected to be asked by Lomography to do a write up but wasn't. So I may just do a photo walk and shoot and post an album with notes at some point.

@alienmeatsack It will be interesting. I had a Olympus C1 camera with fixed focus and a very small sensor, long ago, in 2004 I think.

@alienmeatsack I wonder how these combine analog techniques with color filters in black and white mode and a small sensor. To see whether the extra noise from the lack of lighting.

@alexkon Any particular filters you would like to see tested? I'll do some shots with what I've got in BW mode hand holding filters over the lens to see what we get. I've got most every color lens there is. :D

@alienmeatsack I am interested in the standard, medium intensity: yellow, red and blue.

@alexkon Due to having broken my foot my tests may be delayed a bit but I hope to try and do some basic, if not boring, testing maybe next week or so. I' hoping to do a full review of the camera and see how it handles color filters etc anyway your request gives me some direction to aim the review.

@alienmeatsack If you remember, I came here with experiments on Canon A570IS.
I tried to get tear-eye color and doubles without using a computer. (Only firmvare and CHDK means)
And I was initially wondering whether it is possible to combine digital photography and lomography.
I'll be waiting you tests for a long time. Get well! =)
