Aljube Prison in the heart of old Lisbon

For 37 years, between 1929 e 1965, thousands of man, victims of the political police of the portuguese dictatorship, climbed the steps of this prisons facilities. The exhibition I visited was in honour of their lost voices.. It was heartbreaking, and very moving to visit this place. i had no idea that place had such an history and was mindblown by it....

wasn't all that i was hoping for. Oh well, at least I can cross that out of my 'must try at least once' list :)´

    @neanderthalis I think it reflects the stark lomeliness of the place I was photographing in. It was an old prison, and they made an exhibit to remind us of the people who suffered there. I'm glad my pictures can make it justice. thanks.
