shutter problem

I probably didn't mention how I hastily changed film at the wedding - right after the ceremony and before the moment I would be called upon to photograph the bridal party, families, etc., when the shutter froze on my NikonFE. A truly scary moment. Suffice it to say, my daughter took those shots with her digital camera. I learned later, that in my panic & haste, I had bent the shutter inward... when I had it repaired, there was another FE on the shelf and I purchased it. I had just enough time to test it before my trip. It worked perfectly and did not have the light leaks my orig. camera has, so I brought this new one on vacation with me. How ironic that the shutter froze up during a photographic jeep tour (album to follow). And I LEARNED my lesson from the first incident, and took my time and loaded the film slowly, carefully. The camera recovered, then stumbled throughout my vacation. I am told it might be a "shutter lubrication" problem, and wonder if climate can affect this.
