Blacklight Diptych

I say it's art! Eastman Kodak 5302 Fine Grain Release Positive / Blue Orthochromatic film from 1961. Shot at ISO 6. 35mm M42 East German Hanimex / Praktica Super TL camera with Super Lentar f/3 28mm lens. This is really meant to be a demonstration of what can be done with this film while shooting and in post process. These are unfiltered, daylight shots. These were stand developed for 2 hours at around 65 degrees F. in glycin – carbonate developer [ (15 grams Sodium sulfite, 60 grams sodium carbonate, 15 grams glycin in 2 liters of water) – stock solution (Lowe’s recipe). Dilute 1:10 for working solution. Water stop, Ilford Hypam 1:4 fix for 6 minutes. Scanned as color ]. Glycin Carbonate produces grey-brown negatives that are almost chocolate colored and fairly opaque, but scan easily. My Super TL is the US export version (Hanimex). My camera is probably early 1970s vintage. Was my go to M42 for a while but suddenly the mirror and shutter failed a few years back. I have been able to miraculously get it working again. Not entirely sure about the shutter, or the meter, but the results here are adequate. I use px625 1.5v batteries in the meter. The camera is designed for 1.3v batteries, but the bridge circuitry built into the meter allow it to correct the voltage to some degree so that 1.5v batteries seem to work
