Is there a song about Merced, California? Maybe by a country singer back in the day. I know my wife's old neighbor used to drink with Johnny Cash in Riverbank, CA. But Merced? I dunno about that one, man. Downtown Merced is (ironically) where I've seen some very loud and notable bands in my scene! Drew shot me this roll and we jumped around downtown trying to find spots to shoot and spent some time in a very warm Mexican restaurant eating lunch. It's a nice place. We shot old signs on Main St. and asked a guy about and old neon sign-making factory. I think his name was Rudy, but that was also the name of a guy whose portrait I took recently, so I don't know anymore. It also happened to be in the upper 90º's farenheit that day, impovershing our wills to go out and shoot more. PS, if you see me on Grainery, come say hi!
