Continued problems with getting the right light setting - all of these are ISO 12. But bigger problem is deposits on the negatives. This occurred on the first batch but I was able to wash it off with much work, not so much these. Even washing them resulted in some damage, but not much improvement. I assume it is either my sodium thiosulfate fix where ammonium is called for (but not available) or potassium alum as hardener. The original wanted a formaldehyde hardener. So next time we will go without just to see, and swap fixes. Colors are still mostly good where the development process didn't overwhelm it, or where the lighting worked. I don't think the main problem is in the 40 year old emulsion at this point, I think it is in the developer (me). #kodak #eastman #ektachrome #slide #duplicator #1977 #vintage #lomo #lomography #expired #homebrew #c22 #c-22 #e4 #e-4 #film #analog #filmisnotdead #filmneverdied

Like always the flaws and mistakes seem to add charm ( r.e. My recent surf shots)! but I totally understand your frustrations. Better luck next time :)

@charliedontsurf looking at the positive, this was from a moving vehicle going 50 MPH with ISO12 film! My wife says, "it's okay if you throw the film away" LOL! I said, "this is fun!" she said it didn't seem very much fun for all the work.

@mike1allison I think the results are pretty good considering the age of that film, wifes reaction is priceless. Mine perhaps isn't quite as brutal as yours lol.! But I've more or less given up showing her any of my efforts apart from shots of my kids, she just doesn't get anything less than perfect!
