Mother Can't Help
recreation of the animals in native California being killed in tar pits. La Brea Tar Pits. I was REALLY excited when I took some pics of the elephants. I was shooting at angles that would tell a story. I was trying to block out the tourists & buildings surrounding the museum tar pits so I was standing on my tip toes to go at a downward angle hoping to capture just the mom & child elephants. I definitely like how my picture is framed within the shot but I was extremely disappointed in how blurry it was. If it had been crisper, the story I was trying to tell would be stronger, more vibrant, and more emotional. This was one of my more disappointing shots of 2010. But I'll go back one day & get my shot!
