I am continuing my project of digitizing old photos and slides, with this batch of which I do not know the date and the circumstances of the shooting. I assume the photos were taken in the Pyrenees, in the mid/end 60's. 📷

No matter when or where the photo was taken - this is definitely the most beautiful car ever built!
    👍✨

I remember one day in Cherbourg, one of these gorgeous cars, not for nothing called the goddess, refused to start. I offered to push her and with no trouble she sprang into life.
Saw one in England too, here is evidence :) www.lomography.it/homes/crosschannel/albums/2192308-what-ca…

thanks @crosschannel for the story and the photo ! 😊👍 The nickname "goddess" has a phonetic explanation though, : The official name was "DS", which comes phonetically like "déesse", the frnech word for goddess... But yeah, it was a fantastic car. I am old enough to remember trips made in the golden age Citroën, in the 70's after the DS came the CX, and both had the same hydraulic suspension system, it was so smooth, so comfy, as if you let yourself dive into a sofa... Whoa, well, you know, kid's memories...😎

The BX had it too (the hydraulic suspension) , I think. There is one in my fathers neighbourhood. I'm quite curious who will take her on, the current owner is a lady in her 80s, does not drive any longer.

@mackiechartres It was my pleasure! 😊
By the way. The Xantia also had the hydraulic suspension. We had one from 1999-2008. A great car. After that we changed to a C4, what was not the best idea...
