Rollei CR200 expired Pentax 67 Mia Laundromat Editorial Setagaya Tokyo

This was such a fun shoot to plan and execute, this was my first time organising a shoot through a model networking page and it went so smoothly. I’ve wanted to do this shoot for a while but a lot of laundromats in Sydney are refurbed and no longer have that vintage charm that I really envisioned.

We actually ended up having to shoot 2 rolls between two locations (stay tuned for the other roll) as the first was quite busy and doubled as a living space with the owner occupying the building next door.

The owner used to shoot film and showed us some old photos and his camera that he still used, displaying it eagerly with pride, a canon EOS model 630 one of the first consumer electronic SLR’s. He was enamoured by the size of my…Pentax 67 as am i, it’s quickly become my favourite camera for portraits.
