Last summer I climbed Mount Fuji during my trip to Japan. Although I use the word "climb", It was more like a very steep hike. To catch the sunrise, I started the ascent at around 1PM and climbed until 6PM. I rested and slept at one of the mountain huts until the staff woke me up at 2AM. After a short breakfast, I climbed the last stretch to reach the top. It was very cold and the wind was blowing really hard, so you have to layer your clothes well. I was a bit under-prepared, but the pain was all worth it. The sunrise at the summit was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my life.

During the climb I used the Olympus OM2SP loaded with FujiFilm Pro 400H film, which I overexposed by one to two stops. I think the film is perfect for capturing the hazy summers of Japan. The skies and greens just look lovely, which have a very nice, bright, and fresh feel to them.
