Paraders in costume for the University of the Philippines' annual lantern parade shot against various textures of newspaper collages, handwritten texts, maps, etc.
Recently attended one of the most awaited annual events in the University of the Philippines in Diliman - the Lantern Parade - which usually involves lanterns, floats and paraders in costumes representing the various colleges and organizations of the state university. Got there on time despite the heavy traffic in EDSA that is typical during the holiday season. Took shots of the many wonderful artworks that really speak much about the collective industry and effort of the people in their groups to convey the spirit of Christmas. Used images of vintage postcards to texture my shots.
