Since I was the only one who had a lomo camera in the group, I did the lomowalk alone. An hour before we left for the airport, I took one last stroll along the beach.
LESSON LEARNED: the beach can over expose an ISO 100 film
i made two mistakes:
...first i left the lubitel in B-Mode and took the first picture.
...then i forgot to transport the film to the new frame and took the next picture...wääääähhhh....
...Now, it is my favorite picture;-)
This beach is a paradise, the water is so clear.. Tried to shoot with Krab and LC-Wide ..this are the best shots out of 3 rolls. I´m very happy with the results!
Underexposed multi layered photo. I can imagine there is a true sense of wonder and isolation soaring above the clouds in a baloon looking down on Earth. There are a lot of reasons this lomograph is one of my favorites. It is my most popular lomograph. It is a double exposure and I love doubles. I also love hot air balloons and hope to one day ride in one.
NO PHOTOSHOP - double exposed Kodak EIR (color infrared) Aerochrome film (E6 process) in a Holga 120 N camera with a Tiffen Red 25 filter - POTD 11/22/2010 - Thank you everyone for your likes and comments!
Honey, really -- hesitate no more ! Just put on your sexiest bandage dress and your favorite high heels and walk out that goddamn door to wow everyone (including your boss, the colleagues you hate....etc.) ! remember just like what I said :,"Be the Queen Bee" !
Even though the Polar Vortex of 2013-2014 seem to be sucking all the cold and blowing it to the East and South, we are still getting our fair share of snow in Southern Calif up in the mountains. So we had a nice snow day over the weekend.
...from India...among all the local festivals in Goa and the rest of the Konkan region…Shigmo would be the most popular and colorful..!!..
..celebrating the arrival of the indian summer and the start for preparations of fields to be in readiness for the indian monsoons..Shigmo has ancient pagan origins and involve these colorful..larger than life effigies..that commemorate the Ranes..native Maratha warriors rising against the Portuguese colonizers who ruled over this part of India from 1510 to 1961…
Stories of these Maratha warriors battling for justice and independence are legendary and even today, they inspire all of us, to rise up against oppression and injustice……………....
Please note that the Swastika that you see in some of the pics is NOT from that notorious period in World history..but this one..in its vertical position, is an ancient hindu symbol dating back to the indus valley civilizations and it invokes Lakshmi…who is the Hindu Goddess for Wealth…Prosperity…Good tidings and Auspiciousness
Shot all this freaky stuff at a local sculpture park with a Nikon F100. One day I might go back there with a lo-fi camera, expired slide film and a homemade mask, and do a proper gloomy version ;-)
Exposing both sides of the film (EBS).
I shot on correct(normal) side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half of the lense was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. Need patience, concentration, and accuracy for this challenge. Plus must be careful with 'gaps' between frames. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs
"Ohirune-house" (nap house) in Sakushima Island, Aichi. The island is known as "island of art". There are many unique objets along the beach. This cubic artwork is the symbol of the island.
