    condiviso da buckshot il 2013-02-02

I woke really early and drove 100km to be at the ancient, mystical ruins of Stonehenge by sunrise. It was a frigid morning (3°C) with a bitter wind, but at least it was clear, with plenty of sunshine. I approached the 'exposing both sides' (EBS) technique the same way as described in my first panorama EBS album here: http://goo.gl/ChwbE The only difference was that I had a changing bag with me this time, so I could flip the film onsite from the redscale side (which I shot first) back to the normal side. I froze my ass off out there, but I think it was worth it for these results. Hope you like 'em too...! :-)

    condiviso da buckshot il 2013-02-17

Frensham Pond is a really pretty nature conservation area about a 10-minute drive from where I live. Despite its name, it's actually two big lakes, a vast area of heathland, plus woodland. There's also a sailing club, and I went there specifically to shoot sailing boats today, thinking they'd be a great subject for the 'exposing both sides' (EBS) technique, but as soon as I set foot in the car park of the marina, a guy approached and told me it was a private club, for members only, and said I couldn't take photos there. I tell you, they're paranoid about people with cameras anywhere near private property in this country! Anyway, I got a few shots of boats from outside the fence and down by the lakeside, then went wandering in search of other sights. Here's what I found...

Rare and Funky: The Great Wall DF Camera, a True Lomo-Jewel

Last week I bumped into this Chinese camera. I vaguely knew about it and despite being a bit expensive I bought it anyway. I am so glad this camera is in my collection now. It is the most allround Lomo camera I have. Trust me, I have a lot of of cameras and this one is just a true Lomo-Jewel

  • Going Down the EBS road

    condiviso da gauthierdumonde il 2013-02-04

As I got amazing results with a failed EBS roll, I wanted to do it again but under controlled circumstances. But did a small fail again. I first shot the redscale side, but when I reversed it back to normal side I did not tape it very well. So I came lose, got double folded and eventually it teared apart. So my second layer.... was defenitely exposed, but how and which side: I don't know. Let's give it another try. On this pic you can see were the film tore apart; so ther was on part redscale side and the bigger part was on the normal side.

I can't quite compete with @hodachrome yet, but hey, the dude's on a whole 'nother level ;-). This was my second 'exposing both sides' (EBS) test roll. The black line through the middle is because the black card I taped as a mask in the back of the camera (instead of using a Splitzer) was a bit too big. Otherwise, though, it turned out pretty good, and I can't wait to go do it again...!
