Friend of mine was doing make-up for a derby girl and so I decided to go along and give my new telephoto lens a go. Man, o man, this thing can work baby. It sports photography that dreamy, urgent look of pictures of football players in leather helmets or boxers with broken teeth. I'm glad to have such a tool at my disposal for bringing such a retro look to such a decidedly modern sports movement.
