L.O.T.U.S Loads of trouble, usually serious. This old Esprit has been left to rot on ramps for at least 15 years, I've watched its sad demise all this time without taking a photo until yesterday. Shot on XX@ iso200 with my old pen and developed in rodinal 1+50 for 9.30.

@dynax if you buy it, the cost of restoration would be several times its value, better leave it like this as "art" or put it in a garden, it would be nicer to see than gnomes ...

    Great shot.
It must something about Lotus...there's a red Elan not far from me in someone's front garden that's been left to rot for years, it's covered in lichen and bird shit. Such a waste. Mind you, the house is also falling to bits, the wooden window frames are falling out. Never seen the owner.

@astonuts I've restored cars in the past, got a project sitting in my garage now but never again, its financially ruinous!

@malcolm_tremain I think that the trouble with these lotus's was that they were fragile, expensive to fix and not valuable enough to have it done properly hence a lot of them were bodged. They have risen in value quite a bit in recent years though so perhaps it'll get back on the road one day. Your local Elan though, that's a bloody shame, I think they've always been worth spending the dosh on.

@charliedontsurf I know, you can't expect it to be econonomically worthwthwhile unless it's a one million worth car ...
