Tell us something about your LomoHome’s name.

Well, it is my name. Pretty boring, but easy for me to remember.

Share to us your most memorable experience in the Lomographic Community.

Hands down, the Lomo World Congress of 2007 in London. Lomographers are the best people in the world, and that congress proved it. 250 people from 56 different countries (at least that is what I remember) and we all got along incredibly. Lomography treated us all like gold… Gave us the brand new Diana F+ cameras, film, cool other goodies, and took us out to amazing restaurants every night. We had workshops and ran around the city as a wild horde of Lomographers, shooting everything in sight. It is an event that I will never forget. So uhm, when’s the next one?

Some of Tracy’s popular Lomographs we are all familiar of!

Have you actually met people in the Community that you now consider as close friends?

I became good friends with neja and Janette at the world congress. They are both amazing people and great Lomographers. I am a member of the Seattle Lomo Adventure Club (SLAC) and am VERY close friends with the Lomographers in this group. Here are a few: kimo, lisa1012, neruala, djnada, herbasaurus, espresso-dove, jwolf, neversmiling, nicolabeeson, and lomomufflev. Sorry for anyone I’ve missed. Our group meets a couple of times a month and is a blast!

Do you think you’ll still be taking Lomographs in the next 5 years? Why?

Yeah. I’m a lifer. I love it. I love taking pictures, experimenting, scanning them in… The whole nine yards! I also love seeing other Lomographers shots. It is my window to the world… Seeing what other people consider as mundane — their dog, backyard, car, hometown, etc. etc.. These are the things that thrill me. I can’t stop. I never will.

Some samples from his many film swaps!

What is your favorite Lomo camera and why? Do you have any memorable experiences while using this camera?

It is so hard to pick a favourite. If I have to choose, it would be my trusty LC-A. I have taken thousands of pictures with it and it consistently pumps out my favourite shots. All of my experiences with the camera are memorable. Through my LC-A and my sketchbook/journal, I literally have met the most interesting people. Years ago, I had the opportunity to photograph a rock star on the roof of the Capitol Record building in Hollywood with my LC-A. I recently went to Los Angeles with a friend of mine who is in the movie industry. We attended a movie marketing event at a swanky hotel there, and I found a nice quiet table by the pool to sit and journal at, and to take sneaky LC-A shots of the movie crowd. While I was waiting, a few famous actors, a martial arts star, and several movie producers all stopped by the table to check out my camera and my journal. I find that creative people are always attracted to my LC-A. It intrigues them.

Please share your most favourite Lomographic photo that you took and explain why.

Not sure if this is my favourite shot but I do love it. The reason is simple; this is the Seattle Lomo Adventure Club… Well at least part of them. There is almost nothing better than running around the city with like-minded people having fun with our cameras. We shoot, we play, we experiment with light, we have scanning parties, we hang out and have a great time together. Of all the “groups” in my life, SLAC is the one I can relax and have the most fun with.

Please share a Lomograph you wish you took and explain why.

Anything hodachrome have shot, I wish I also have shot. I challenge anyone to find a single image that he has shot that is not mystifying, wonderful, and awe inspiring.

What’s the best Lomographic or photography advice you think you have given?

Be brave and don’t be lazy!

If there’s one song or movie that best describes your Lomo life, what is that and why?

“The Good the Bad and the Ugly” I love the movie and the title really describes what I like about my Lomo life. With Lomography I get to see the beautiful shots but I also get to spice things up with some bad, and some downright ugly shots. These add grit and spice and keep things from becoming mundane and boring. A big part of my Lomo life is seeing what my fellow Lomographers are shooting. If I only got to see what they think of as their “best” work, I would miss some of my favourite shots.

Is there any advice you can give to new analogue shooters?

If you are new to analogue shooting, the best advice I can give is to take the time and be tenacious about creating a habit of shooting anything and everything. Your camera needs to be attached to you like a limb. Then shoot anything that moves or stands still!
